Q: Is there free parking?

A: We're located in a medical professional building next to the beautiful Bow River, in order to prevent the public to park in our parking lot and then using the bike path, the building has implemented metered parking to ensure convenient parking for all clients entering the medical building. However, you can find complimentary parking around the clinic (outside of the lot) and across the street offers 2 hours of free parking.

Q: Why are the appointments longer?

A: Our goal is to provide exceptional care by dedicating ample time to address all your inquiries and thoroughly evaluate the condition of your teeth and gums before proceeding with your dental cleaning. During your initial visit, we conduct a thorough Dental Hygiene Exam, including X-rays, Treatment Planning, and a comprehensive cleaning. We provide personalized advice and tools to help you maintain good oral hygiene until your next appointment, typically in 3-6 months. Subsequent visits are quicker but still focused on top-notch care.

Q: Will my insurance cover more than one cleaning a year?

A: Typically, yes! This determination is made based on "scaling units," where each unit represents 15 minutes of cleaning time. A typical dental cleaning appointment involves 2-5 units of scaling, with an average of 3 units per visit. However, insurance policies vary, and we're more than happy to assist you in verifying your eligibility by sending a pre-authorization request on your behalf.

For example, if your insurance plan covers 16 units of scaling per year, and your usual appointment requires 4 units, you're eligible for up to 4 cleanings annually.

In line with our commitment to comprehensive oral health care, we do not believe in restricting your oral hygiene needs solely based on your insurance coverage. During our treatment planning process, we take the time to thoroughly discuss your individual oral health status and recommend treatments accordingly. Your well-being and oral health are our top priorities, and we ensure that our recommendations align with your specific needs, regardless of insurance coverage.

Q: Cancellation & changes to appointment policies

A: We kindly request a 48-hour notice for any changes to your appointment. Please note that a last-minute changes or cancellation fee may apply for recurring events. We strive to maintain flexibility, especially during Calgary winter storms, we appreciate your understanding of the importance of both dental care however we want to ensure your safe arrival and can accomodate last minute changes.
